pavilion

a light building with open sides used for shelter or recreation.

  • At the far end is a building with a ramp that extends into the water, a pavilion, the princess called it.
foreign

in, from, or having to do with a country that is not one's own.

  • "You and Mosis," she adds, the foreign name said as if there is something bitter on her tongue.
idolater

a person who worships false gods.

  • And now, when I see how happy Mosis is with the princess, I am glad I believe in Ya as deeply as I do.

"Statues can break," Ima responds, a sly smile on her lips. "The invisible god is everywhere at the same time and is eternal. It was Ya who sent you to Goshen." (p. 62)
