Clean Up Your Gmail Inbox
Your Gmail inbox should not be the final resting place for all your old emails. An inbox with thousands of emails is a sign that you are not as organized as you could be.
Whenever you receive an email, you should read it then make a decision:
- Is it something that still requires your attention?
- If so, leave it in your inbox.
- If not, delete it.
Some students receive hundreds of emails because Google Classroom sends them notifications every time a teacher updates something on their Google Classroom.
Are these notifications helpful?
- If so, then leave your settings the way they are.
- If not, go to Google Classroom and turn off your notifications. (Ask me if you need help.)
Lesson Steps
- Go to the waffle and open your Gmail.
- Clean out your inbox. (Delete any old emails that no longer require your attention.)
