Can you type without looking at the keyboard?

Touch typing is an important skill that you will need in high school, college, and beyond. Unfortunately, some students manage to graduate from middle school without ever learning how to type properly.

Don't let this happen to you.

Lesson Steps

1. Go to Typing Club.
2. Sign in with with Google.
3. Click on the lesson plan called "Typing Jungle".
4. Select Language Arts 6 — Hall.
5. Start with lesson 1.
6. Lessons 1–3 provide some brief explanations. You may need to turn up your volume or use earphones.
7. When you've completed these lessons, you'll see that you've earned some green check marks (but you haven't yet earned any stars).
8. Beginning with lesson 4, you have a chance to earn from 1 to 5 stars per lesson. Don't strive for speed; strive for accuracy. Speed will come later.
9. Finish lessons 1—5. To "finish" a lesson means that you've earned five stars on that lesson.
10. Explore the Typing Club website.
11. Return to your Typing Club homepage and make a note of how many stars you have earned. Each star you earn is worth 1 point.
12. Finally, return to this page and take the quiz.
