Thus far, you have written four blog posts:

In this lesson, we're going to proofread your work.

Here is the checklist that you are going to use:

Is your post primarily about you? (That's good!)

  • Is your post about computer games? (That's bad!)
  • Did you post any personal information or inappropriate content? (That's bad!)

Did you punctuate your title properly?

  • Do not capitalize articles or prepositions
  • Do not capitalize every letter of your title.
  • Do not put a period at the end of your title.

  • Did you write at least two paragraphs?
  • Is each of your paragraphs at least three sentences long?

  • Did you break your writing up into easily digestible paragraphs?
  • Did you start a new paragraph each time
    • you switched to a new topic?
    • you changed the setting of my story?
    • someone new starts to speak?

  • Did you skip a line between your title and your post?
  • Did you skip a line between paragraphs?

  • Did you start each sentence with a capital letter?
  • Did you end each sentence with a period?

Did you follow the Number Rule?

  • Numbers between one and nine should be spelled out. Numbers 10 or above should be written in Arabic numerals.
