Subordinate Clauses (Review)

You have now studied all three types subordinate clauses:

  1. adverb clauses
  2. noun clauses
  3. adjective clauses (also known as relative clauses)

I like to think of these clauses as living "below" (or sometimes inside) the main clause.

Adverb

I ate pizza

Noun

I eat

whatever my husband cooks.
(my husband cooks whatever)
