Super Glue Words (1)

You may have noticed that some of the glue words (listed in the previous lesson) have a little asterisk next to them. (An asterisk is the symbol that looks like this: *). These are words that fall into more than one category.

For example, the word "for" is most often used as a preposition, but occasionaly it might be used as a fanboy.

Likewise, the word "after" can be used as a preposition, but it can also be used as a subordinating conjunction.

Since these words fall into more than one category, I like to call them "super glue words." (I like to imagine that they have a super powers which allow them to transform themselves).

Don't worry too much about these "super" glue words just yet. You'll learn all about them when you're ready.
