Introduction
Not all your assignments need a title, but many of them do, including:
- Blog Posts
- Essays
- Book Reports
- Short Stories
- etc.
In this unit, you're going to learn how to format your titles properly. Honestly, it's not too hard, as long as you pay attention. In fact, I can summarize this unit in just a few points:
- Capitalize every word of a title, except for articles and prepositions.
- When referring to the title of another work in the body of your paper,
- "Big stuff" gets italicized. (Big stuff includes major works such as books, websites, and movies.).
- "Small stuff" gets put within quotation marks. (Small stuff includes shorter works such as articles, songs, and poems.)
We will examine these points in more detail in the coming lessons.
